LIVINGSTONE TRAIL Tour
Day 1 Departure
Night flight to Windhoek.
Day 2 Windhoek – Gobabis Area
Early morning arrival Windhoek. The official SATOUR guide will
meet you at the airport. We travel in an easterly direction to Gobabis.
Dinner and overnight at a lodge.
Day
3 Gobabis – Botswana- Maun
Breakfast. Our first stop at Ghanzi where there’s a variety
of ethnical groups: San (Bushmen), Herero, Ovambo’s and others.
Time to visit a traditional San shop, where one can buy handmade
products. The trip then brings you to the heartland of Botswana,
namely the Okavango Delta. In Maun you can charter a plane (plus
minus 100 euro) for a fantastic flight over the beautiful water
area with its rich wildlife of Botswana. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Moremi National Park
Breakfast. A whole day trip on a 4x4 jeep to the Moremi Park.
Enjoy the abundant wildlife and outstretched African bush. Dinner
and overnight Maun.
Day 5 Maun- Makgadikgadi Pans – Nata
Breakfast. Our journey takes us via the Makgadikgadi Pans to Nata.
Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 Nata – Kasane
Breakfast. We travel to the entrance gate of the spectacular
and world famous Chobe Game Park. In the afternoon on a boat trip.
An unique way to encounter the game from nearby. In the afternoon
an intense African sunset experience, with its beautiful colours.
Dinner and overnight.

7 Kasane – Victoria Waterfalls ( Zambia side)
Hear the roaring sound of the Victoria Falls while having an early morning breakfast.
Early morning game-drive in the Chobe Park.. Then for the highlight of the trip, the awesome Victoria
Waterfalls. One of the seven natural wonders of the world. We return
to Botswana for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 Kasane – Katima Mullilo –
Caprivi
Breakfast. The bus takes us to Katima Mullilo where we will
visit a traditional market. Our journey continues to the Caprivi
Strip on the border with Angola. Dinner and overnight in the Caprivi
area.
Day 9 Caprivi – Grootfontein
Breakfast. The journey takes us in a southerly direction through
the vast and extended Namibian bush to Grootfontein. A geographical
stop at the world’s largest meteorite in the area of Tsumeb.
Dinner and overnight at a lodge near Grootfontein.
Day 10 Grootfontein – Etosha National Park
Breakfast. We travel in a westerly direction to the famous
Etosha National Park. The Park is an kaleidoscope of animals and
enormously outstretched saltpans give a magical sphere to the region.
Dinner and overnight in the park or an equal lodge in the area.

11 Etosha National Park
Breakfast. The whole day to enjoy the groups of animals springbuck,
Oryx, gazelle, elephants etc . while driving in the park. Dinner
and overnight in Etosha or in the area.
Day 12 Etosha – Waterberg Plato –
Otjiwarongo
Breakfast. The trip takes you to the spectacular nature Otjiwarongo.
We visit the amazing Waterberg Plateau towering 200m above the surrounding
areas. Exquisite rock formations await the keen hiker. Time for
a hike in the mountains surrounded by game. Dinner and overnight.
Day 13 Otjiwarongo – Swakopmund
Breakfast. We travel southwesterly to the beautiful German
influenced town of Swakopmund situated on the western coast of Namibia.
Afternoon free to enjoy the fresh sea breeze or stroll around town
looking for small shops with typical Namibian leather, wood and
stone products. Dinner and overnight.
Day 14 Dessert – Welwitschia – Swakopmund
Breakfast followed by a half-day tour to the Namib Naukluft
Dessert. In this amazing moon landscape you will discover the Welwitchia
plants. The real survivors of the dessert. Their age can reach up
to 2000 years in this dry area. Return to Swakopmund for dinner
and overnight.
Day
15 Swakopmund – Solitaire
Breakfast. Our first stop at Walvis Bay to watch the Flamingo
colony. An African experience is awaiting you en route to Solitaire.
A 100km trip through the “big nothing”. Something you
wont forget easily. We dine and overnight at a lodge on the edge
of the dessert.
Day 16 Sossusvlei and Sesriem
Breakfast. The second surprise awaits you. The spectacular
Sossusvlei on a 4x4 jeep. The jeep will takes you to the highest
sand dunes in the world. The colour schemes are amazing, from sand
colour in the morning to yellowish and soft brown in the afternoon.
The only view sand and dunes. Sossusvlei are on the end an oasis
in the dessert. We return to Solitaire via the Sesriem canyon. Dinner
and overnight.
Day 17 Solitare – Maltah Hohe
Breakfast. We travel alongside the highest dunes to an area
between dunes and mountains. Dinner and overnight.
Day
18 Maltah Hohe – Marienthal
After breakfast we depart to a private game lodge of 8 000
ha. Time to walk around or relax on horseback. Dinner and overnight.
Day 19 Marienthal – Windhoek
Breakfast. Trip takes us to Windhoek the capital city of Namibia.
An informative city tour where we will visit the Tinten palace,
Christchurch and some statues. Dinner and overnight.
Day 20 Windhoek
Breakfast. The day to enjoy Windhoek on foot or relax before
the bus takes you to the airport for your return flight.
