Hunters Rest Country Resort

Hunters Rest is a picturesque country resort beautifully situated in the Magaliesberg Mountains just 1 ½  hours from Johannesburg or Pretoria.  It is reputed for it’s fine table, good service and excellent recreational facilities.

There are 91 well-appointed bedrooms set in lush surrounds, all have private bathroom, telephone, radio, DSTV, air conditioning, coffee makers, etc.

The hotel has 5 air-conditioned conference rooms that can seat from 12 to 200 delegates.  Equipment available includes overhead, slide and wide angle Data projectors.  DVD players, flipcharts, whiteboards and PA systems.

The recreational facilities include a testing 9-hole golf course, a bowling green, 4 tennis courts, volleyball, a squash court, and two heated pools.  There is a gymnasium, a health spa with saunas and steam rooms and a games room with pool tables, table tennis, darts etc.  There are also interesting hiking trails up the mountain to the old Anglo-Boer war forts and quad biking into the nature reserve.
