During the course of the year we have many 3 – 4 hour Lunch and Dinner excursions where we entertain a maximum of 72 guests. |

10h00 to 11h30: |
Guests arrive at Rovos Rail’s Capital Park Station. Champagne, orange juice and canapés are served on arrival. Musicians play light classical music in the background. A Steam Locomotive will be parked on the platform adjoining the station lounge, allowing the guests numerous photographic opportunities. |
11h30 to 11h45: |
The locomotive will move off the platform to fetch the train and bring it on to the platform. While all the participants are together and their attention is focused, this is an ideal time for speeches or presentations. |
12h00 |
Departure for a circular panoramic tour around Pretoria |
16h30 |
Arrive back at Capital Park Station |
Drinks will be served in the Observation and Lounge cars on departure. Lunch or Dinner would be served at 13h30 or 20h30. Our menus reflect an accent on fresh local ingredients, and traditional dishes such as game are a specialty. Our lunches and dinners offer a starter, a choice of fish, meat or vegetarian dish followed by a tempting dessert. Fine wines from some of South Africa’s renowned cellars and estates complement the meals. |

An early evening departure from Capital Park Station, Pretoria. Dinner and overnight on board. The train will stop at about midnight for ± 6 hours. Return to Capital Park after a leisurely breakfast. |

Rovos Rail, is offering a unique opportunity to Luxury Steam Train enthusiasts worldwide to travel on board The Pride of Africa under steam haulage for almost the entire journey. This nostalgic, luxury journey will be available for either groups or individual ticket sales and should be of special interest to preservation societies and steam heritage groups. The locomotives used at various stages will include 19D and 25NC.
Journey: Victoria Falls to Pretoria
This 9-night / 10-day journey is not a regular scheduled routing operated by Rovos Rail and being hauled entirely under steam makes it unique and exciting. En route we will stop at Hwange, Matobo Game Reserves and Antelope Park for game drives and visit the Bulawayo Rail Museum before entering Botswana en route to South Africa. The train will comprise 29 Pullman Suites & 5 Deluxe Suites (68 passengers maximum), a lounge car, dining car and observation car.
