LIVINGSTONE TRAIL TOURDAY 1 : DEPARTURE Night flight to Windhoek. DAY 2 : WINDHOEK – GOBABIS AREA Early morning arrival in Windhoek. The official tour guide will meet you at the airport. We will travel in an easterly direction to Gobabis (Dinner and overnight.)
Our first stop will be at Ghanzi where there are a variety of ethnical groups like San (Bushmen), Herero, Ovambo’s and others. We will visit a traditional San shop where handmade products can be purchased before leaving to the heartland of Botswana, namely the Okavango Delta. In Maun you can charter a plane (plus minus 100 euro) for a fantastic flight over the beautiful water area with its large variety of wildlife. (Dinner and overnight.) DAY 4 : MOREMI NATIONAL PARK A trip on a 4x4 Jeep to the Moremi Park will enable you to enjoy the abundant wildlife and outstretched African bush. (Dinner and overnight.) DAY 5 : MAUN - MAKGADIKGADI PANS – NATA Our journey takes us via the Makgadikgadi Pans to Nata. (Dinner and overnight.)
After entering the spectacular and world famous Chobe Game Park followed by a boat trip in the afternoon, you will experience an intense African sunset with its beautiful colours. This is a unique way to encounter the game from nearby. (Dinner and overnight.)
Early morning game-drive in the Chobe Park followed by an extended breakfast. The highlight of the trip is a visit to one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the awesome Victoria Waterfalls before returning to Botswana. (Dinner and overnight.)
The bus takes us to Katima Mullilo where we will visit a traditional market. Our journey continues to the Caprivi Strip on the border with Angola. (Dinner and overnight in the Caprivi area.) DAY 9 : CAPRIVI – GROOTFONTEIN The journey takes us in a southerly direction through the vast and extended Namibian bush to Grootfontein. A geographical stop at the world’s largest meteorite in the area of Tsumeb. (Dinner and overnight) DAY 10 : GROOTFONTEIN – ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK After breakfast we travel in a westerly direction to the
famous Etosha National Park. The Park is a kaleidoscope of
animals and enormously outstretched saltpans give a magical
sphere to the region. (Dinner and overnight) Breakfast. While driving through the park you will have the opportunity to enjoy the groups of animals like springbuck, Oryx, gazelle, elephants etc. (Dinner and overnight) DAY 12 : ETOSHA – WATERBERG PLATEAU – OTJIWARONGO Breakfast. The trip takes you to the spectacular nature Otjiwarongo. We will then take a trip to the amazing Waterberg Plateau towering 200m above the surrounding areas, where exquisite rock formations await the keen hiker in the mountains surrounded by game. (Dinner and overnight.) DAY 13 : OTJIWARONGO – SWAKOPMUND We travel south-westerly to the beautiful German influenced town of Swakopmund situated on the western coast of Namibia. Afternoon free to enjoy the fresh sea breeze or stroll around town looking for small shops with typical Namibian leather, wood and stone products. Dinner and overnight. DAY 14 : DESERT – WELWITSCHIA – SWAKOPMUND Breakfast followed by a half-day tour to the Namib Naukluft Dessert. In this amazing moon landscape you will discover the real survivors of the desert, namely the Welwitchia plants. Their age can reach up to 2000 years in this dry area. Return to Swakopmund for dinner and overnight.
Our trip takes us to Windhoek the capital city of Namibia followed by an informative city tour where we will visit the Tinten palace, Christchurch and some statues before returning to the airport for your return flight. DAY 16 Arrival Europe. |
