OXWAGON TRAIL
DAY 01: EUROPE – JOHANNESBURG
Late afternoon departure from Europe for night flight to Johannesburg
International.
DAY 02: JOHANNESBURG – PRETORIA
Early morning arrival at Johannesburg International Airport. After
some passport formalities you will meet your guide who will assist
you with money exchange. We will depart to Pretoria (Jacaranda City)
for an informative City tour as well as a visit to the Voortrekker
Monument, Church Square and Union Buildings. (Dinner and overnight)
DAY
03: PRETORIA – MAGOEBASKLOOF
After breakfast in Pretoria we will travel via
the Waterberg Mountains, Springbokvlakte, and Wolkeberg Mountains
to Magoebaskloof. The Guest House is situated in the Wolkeberg Mountains,
the only area where you will be able to encounter the Samango Monkeys.

DAY 04: MAGOEBASKLOOF - JEEP SAFARI – PRIVATE GAME
LODGE
Our first stop is the beautiful Debengeni Waterfalls.
We will travel via the impressive sub-tropical vegetation and tea
plantations to the Abel Erasmus Pass. Thereafter we proceed to a
Private Game Lodge and enjoy a Safari ride on an open Jeep. This
is a Big Five area, Lions, Cheetah, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephants
hiding in the bush. An unforgettable experience. (Dinner and overnight)
DAY
05: PANORAMA ROUTE
Enjoy a day-trip through the scenic eastern Mpumalanga.
You will have the opportunity to gaze at the awesome views. The
Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Blyderivier Canyon (3rd largest Canyon
in the World), God’s Windows and some waterfalls. We drive
along the border of the Kruger National Park. (Dinner and overnight)
DAY 06: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast an African Experience on an open
Jeep in the Kruger National Park
(1 948, 528 hectares). No other Park has this large variety of game.
We travel over dirt roads and rocky terrain to search for animals.
Some stops in fenced rest-camps to buy something to drink, lunch
and souvenirs. (Dinner and overnight)
DAY 07: FLIGHT JOHANNESBURG/PORT ELIZABETH –
ST. FRANCIS BAY.
After breakfast we drive through the Lowveld to Johannesburg International
Airport for the flight to Port Elizabeth. On our arrival in Port
Elizabeth we will enjoy a city tour, we drive through to St. Francis
Bay, a beautiful spot along the coast of the Eastern Cape Province.

DAY
08: TSITSIKAMMA NATIONAL PARK – KNYSNA - South Africa
At last we tour on the famous Garden Route, we
travel across the high Paul Sauer Bridge to the majestic Tsitsikamma
National Park. There will be time for a long walk to the Suspension
Bridge or just to sit and watch the beautiful waves. We will drive
further along the Garden Route to Knysna South Africa. A stop at Knysna Waterfront
for a shopping experience or a boat trip on the Knysna Lake. (Dinner
and overnight)
DAY 09: KNYSNA – OUDTSHOORN
After breakfast you will have time to see the beautiful Victoria
Bay. We will then travel to George at the foot of the Outeniqua
Mountains on route to Oudtshoorn. Oudtshoorn is situated between
the Outeniqua and Swartberg Mountains in an area called the Little
Karoo. There is an interesting option for lunch at Kobus se Gat
where you will experience typical Little Karoo friendliness. Oudtshoorn
is famous for its ostriches, for the brave there is a chance to
ride on an ostrich while visiting an ostrich farm in the afternoon.

DAY 10: CANGO CAVES – SCENIC DRIVE – SWARTBERG
MOUNTAIN
PASS AND MEIRINGSPOORT
Our first stop the majestic Cango Caves on our way to the most
beautiful mountain pass in South Africa namely “The Swartberg
Pass”. We will return to Oudtshoorn via the equally beautiful
Meiringspoort. (Dinner and overnight)
DAY 11: OUDTSHOORN – NUY
We will travel through the Little Karoo through the small rural
towns to The Breede River Wine Valley. At Calitzdorp, we stop for
some wine tasting. This is the Champion Port Wine region. In the
evening we will enjoy a real South African barbeque “braai”
on a wine farm. (Dinner and overnight)
DAY
12: NUY – CAPE TOWN
On our way to Cape Town, the Mother City, we will
travel through the spectacular Du Toitskloof Pass. If the weather
permits, you will have your first glance of Table Mountain. We will
stop at Franschoek and the Huguenot Museum en route to the famous
Stellenbosch wine district. A lunch and informative wine tasting
is provided in the heart of the Stellenbosch wine district. If weather
permits, we travel to Table Mountain for a cable car ride. Your
first view of Robben Island, False Bay and Cape Town City. (Dinner
and overnight)
DAY 13: CAPE TOWN – CAPE POINT – KIRSTENBOSCH
Today we enjoy a city walk in Cape Town including the gardens in
the vicinity of the Parliament Buildings, the Church of Bishop Tutu,
Tuynhuis and Greenmarket Square. Then on our way to Cape Point,
we will travel via Muizenberg, Kalk Bay, and Simon’s Town
to the most southern point of the Peninsula. On our return a scenic
drive to Kirstenbosch, the world famous Botanical Garden. Our departure
dinner (surprise) follows this evening. (Dinner and overnight)
DAY
14: CAPE TOWN
After breakfast, a last scenic drive to Hout Bay
and Seal Island. View the Seals from a glass bottom boat, while
also enjoying the boat trip in Hout Bay harbour we return to Victoria
and Alfred Waterfront for lunch and last time shopping or a cup
of coffee. On our way to Cape Town International Airport we drive
via Bloubergstrand for a final walk on the beach and view of Table
Mountain, an impressive farewell of beautiful South Africa. Transfer
to the Airport for your return flight to Europe from South Africa. (Dinner and overnight)
